Ting Ting
Our Executive Director Jacqui Shurr writes;
I met Ting Ting 2 years ago when visiting an orphanage group home. This brave young woman had survived an arson attack which left her mother dead and her father serving a life sentence, it also left Ting Ting with disfiguring scars on her face and body. I am privileged to know Ting Ting better after fostering her short term while she came to Hong Kong for surgery. Brave, dignified and full of life are just a few traits she has, another being ambition to do something meaningful with her life. Because Ting Ting spent her mid teens recovering in hospital she was not able to finish high school. She has found work as a trainee chef and while she enjoys the work, she’d like to go further. We have found an established private college who will take Ting Ting on merit and she will join the certified health and nutrition course. Ting Ting’s monthly education and living expenses will be 80.00 a month
