The Good Rock and Eagles Mount Adventure Summer Camps

2009 will be our 3^rd year of inviting orphaned and abandoned children to take part in our summer camps. Last year 119 children enjoyed activities and new horizons. We have been working for children in China’s orphanages since 1997. Our camps add value to our other projects of foster care, therapy and social enterprise. Each time a child takes part in camp they experience fun, friendship, support, instruction, and respect. The positive impact of this input into the children’s lives is long lasting and far reaching.

Changing Lives and Challenging Attitudes

We believe that every child is precious and worthy of the investment of our love. Through the simple expression of God’s love and encouragement these children become more self assured and gain more confidence in having the chance to reach for their potential. Our Camp partner, Eagles Mount say “positive attributes can be learnt with interaction with team members and tailored skills training incorporated into our programs”. Each child is partnered with a buddy volunteer. This gives the children an opportunity to make new friends and receive some precious one to one care and attention. Through this act of service we have seen the children both blossom and change. Many local volunteers experience for the first time, the kind of joy that comes from serving others as part of a team. Others join us from overseas for this life changing experience of sacrificial giving.

  The average cost for a child to participate in our camps is USA$80.00
